it occurred to me the other day that i:
*am taking 5 classes
*have 1 job
*intern at an alternative
elementary school once a week
(i'm really liking this place.
i'm definitely sending my future kid
to a non-traditional school).

what's the non-traditional school like? i'm intrigued.
the entire atmosphere feels different. the way the teacher talks to and treats the kids is a lot more nurturing, communicative, and more egalitarian.
the teacher doesn't really act like an all-knowing "teacher" but more like very friendly and patient friend who tries to get young human beings to realize their own learning and be aware of the world around them.
mmm, your thoughts on education are so thought-provoking. i love it.
