Every time I close my eyes

(when i am sleeping & dreaming),
I fly!

It occurred again last night:
the usual scenario of me running away from danger,
leaping off the ground,
and into the sky.

(this was taken during the summer,
but this is where i was being chased)
In every dream though,
i always go through the same thought process of
suddenly remembering I have
*~magical powers~*.
I was flinging myself off buildings
and swimming above a city.

I figured my DIY haircut couldn't get worse.
However, I went and proved myself wrong.

I am excited for *~ nineteen~*

The first thing I'm doing when getting back
is taping my fairy lights and prayer flags back on the wall
(they were a fire hazard, so i took them down for the room inspection).
& putting up the macaw poster I found
at the thrift store for 13 cents.

I watched Discover Irvine today.

(It was full of lies).
I like Irvine,
but the documentary made me laugh.

A tour bus drove around Irvine
& made pit stops at "popular attractions".
Such as the Irvine Historical Museum
(which according to Navid, has one exhibit- featuring a rock).

"Woodbridge is the most popular neighborhood."
They showed a clip of the Woodbridge lake
with an elderly couple holding hands while walking.

The narrator proudly described the role of Irvine police.
They showed a picture of a police car.

Apparently, Irvine is one of the only southern Californian cities
where citizens do not need to rely on automobile transportation to get around.
He said one of the "most wonderful" things about our city is that
you can walk ANYWHERE!

Suddenly, they showed Michelle's street.

I painted a coconut shell this afternoon.
After washing my hands, I came back
and Mops was smiling blue.
He had jumped on the coffee table
and gotten hold of a tube of paint.
Although it was a nightmare trying to get
oil paint out of a white dog's fur,
I'm glad it wasn't red.

Less than 1 week left till the cruise to cruz.
And according to the calendar,
I turn 19 in 13 days?
(whaaaa?)

I still need to finish core reading,
find passages& provide "insightful detailed analysis",
and also read part II & create yet another road map.

collecting shells to decorate a city.

i spoke with 3 children who had
some very interesting things to say.
then they walked all over the dam jeff built.

the clam moved by itself and disappeared into the sand.
the boy whose name i can not remember
said he ate it.

i wish i could swing through the lushness,
leap off cliffs & soar though the sky.

there are some days when the world
seems more beautiful than usual.

jeff's parents dropped him off in irvine
while they explored south coast plaza & surroundings.

he wanted to go to the beach.
we constructed a city in the sand with
a complicated network of water tunnels.

(the 2 girls are best friends, and the boy
is "just the twin. That's the only reason he's playing with us")

so i stepped into a tidepool with them
and sank in the suctioning sand with them.
I tried to leave after the game, but the girl grabbed my hip
and screamed " YOU'LL NEVER LEAVE!"
Then she splashed me.

blythe and i found the biggest banana in the fruit basket
