there was a jungle of thick fog on the drive to school
with the sun angrily glowing through the blurry whiteness.

it's kind of hard to see and carelessly scribbled but
the great pyramids of Giza,
a ziggurat, a pylon temple entrance,
and some megalith of stonehenge are in there somewhere.
they should make a horror movie about shadows revolting
because they don't want to mimic every move their human does anymore.
And it's only safe at night
but when the sun rises...

National Geographic is much more enjoyable
when you run across something you read about last night in Gardener's.

hiroki and I had a vicious argument about what creature Anubis is
I said "dog..it's obviously a dog"
He said "cat, I'm positive"
After looking it up
-Anubis is a Jackal:
(so leah looked up what a Jackal was, hehe thanks)
1.any of several nocturnal wild dogs of the genus Canis, esp. C. aureus, of Asia and Africa, that scavenge or hunt in packs.
2.a person who performs dishonest or base deeds as the follower or accomplice of another.
3.a person who performs menial or degrading tasks for another.

all these old artifacts really excite me

some of the most precious things ever;

Wow,this headache hasn't gone away for 14 hours. This doesn't seem normal.
The piercing pain is jabbing into my brain in throbs.

In english, in between the pain, I couldn't stop laughing at Mr. Pei
and his excessive outbursts of excitement over English 4.

In physics, in between the pain, the first test of the year went beautifully.

In Chinese, in between the pain, I managed to finish translating a news article about Boomerang kids/grown adults returning to their parents houses,
and it's psychological and economical causes due to modern society... ...
The class was silent except for a:"what the hell is a boomerang kid!?"
which didn't please Mrs. Kang much.
all the words, definitions and "pin-yin's" blurred together by the time I finished.

In Art History, in between the pain, it's crucial to know that ziggurats served not only as temples for worship but as city administrative centers as well. Egyptian pyramids, on the other hand served as tombs only.
Then I looked at the handout of Egyptian Gods
and smiled because this is what school should be like.

In FST, in between the pain, the contradictions of functions, statistics, and trigonometry in the class is somehow so entertaining.

everything used to be just pickles, cyclops,
waterballoon filled cookies and naiveness of wild horses
(remember this?)

Today I found the most beautiful twig in the world on the floor.

I really wanted to eat meat today.
After finding a crock pot recipe on allrecipies.com,
I went to the grocery store and bought all the ingredients.
After washing carrots, onions, potatoes, green onions,
I cut up raw meat for my pot roast.
It's the first time I've handled red bloody raw meat by myself.
Now it'll be done in 9 hours!

I went outside to collect leaves and rocks.
(secretly hoping to find a root baby like in pan's labyrinth)
I forgot about going home and kept walking for the next 3 hours.

I felt silly holding a bunch of leaves so
I wished for a rubber band.
Then 3 minutes later, there was a rubber band on the floor!
I wished for a plastic bag.
Then 5 minutes later, I came upon a box of papers by a trashcan
with a perfect transparent plastic envelope sandwiched between the papers!
I ended up at Mason Park and it didn't smell today.
Crawling through the dried up stream and spiderweb infested woods
reminded me of a fairy tale.

Along the lake banks were assorted bird feathers,
so I spent the next hour collecting them
until I noticed a strange blister had formed on my finger.
Looking at the blister and then my new feather collection,
I was automatically convinced I had contracted a bird disease.
I had to call someone who specialized in infectious diseases.
Remembering that's what my dad studies all day,
I used my celluar device and described my symptoms.
"As long as you didn't touch any dead birds, you probably don't have the bird flu" he said
"then it's probably just poison ivy right? ok- bye!" I said.
