third uncle thought we would enjoy a
chinese pop concert, so he got us tickets.
everyone waves these lighted blue sticks
during concerts and disposes them a few hours later.
i dug several out of the trashcan, sliced the foam away,
folded a bunch of newspaper cones
& wrapped them around the LED lights.
gma was so pleased i made her a chandelier.
they reminded me of jellyfish.

and use gma's toothpicks to dip and dot.

subjective humans trying to create objective science.
DO question everything.
look at the mundane and see something more.
if art isn't fun, then something's wrong.
everything is connected.
the point is to know it and understand it.
don't doubt yourself. jump into it.
draw the human body as if it's the first time
you've ever seen someone naked.
sanitation in an anatomy lab is very important.
bird juices in your eye? rinse it out for 15 minutes straight.
now i'll take these bits of things to think
about and carry onwards.
thank you andrew/micha, beth/elaine, paul, and richard!
imagine if we put all the knowledge
(right, wrong, biased, false, partial, situated, or just plain stupid)
that ever existed into one body.
i'd like to have a conversation with this monster.

i just tried to rip off my clip-on earring.
then i realized it wasn't a clip on.
ahh.
chelsea is going to be on the lookout for "pepe soup" for me
(traditional west & central african soup,
made with hot chili pepper and meat
-gorilla meat)
they found a 2,400 year old soup
from my home province, shaanxi.
talk about leftoverz...
here are some artifacts my dad found in our family's abandoned
village in the shenmu mountains a few summers ago.

"Piccinini has brought a cake she sculpted and baked herself. She wanted to incorporate her artistic style into it: a flesh colored fondant cake in the shape of the stem cells she created in Still Life with Stem Cells(2006). Louise is delighted and cuts herself a slice. Calder has brought a platter of assorted cheeses cut into geometric shapes: cubes, pyramids, and spheres. He includes toothpicks and string so everyone can create their own edible mobiles. Although Bourgeois did not like his artworks, she reluctantly builds a sculpture by piling spheres of cheese to create a male reproductive organ which she then microwaves to give it the “quivering and oozing” quality her works are infamously known for"

a middle-aged german couple at the train station.
germanwordsichenbedaschtvonnegutdagundel
*some pointing towards my book and me*
"hey you look like kurt vonnegut"
"look she's reading his book"
"no one reads
anymore
these
days"
a filipino lady who was pushed in a wheelchair.
she was fond of pepperidge farm cookies.
"we filipinos like to stick together
and help each other out"
"this is why i am
giving you
this book"
an exotic looking french girl at the airport.
gray cat eyes;; she was going home
back to the quiche-land and
had no use for it anymore.
she gave me a gift.
merci
!

i realized i've written most of my papers
for environmental anthro on animals:
1)the disappearance of indian bees: land capacity,
subsistence methods, degradation & technology.
2)the salmon hatchery controversy: dueling scientists,
sociocultural, political, and institutional factors that
go into the making of a scientific claim.
3) the bush meat trade: environmental crisis/economic commodity,
feminist theory of situated knowledge, discourses,
risk, political ecology, gorilla soup.
