it is decidedly so.
i bundled up in four layers, wrapped a scarf around my head
walked over 1 bridge and through the woods
to set up my installation.
my fingers froze a little.
hello deer. hello raccoons.

look at this delicate skeleton of a leaf.

i set up my gypsy table in the classroom. and i hung all that on top of it.

when i was setting up, there was a girl in the room setting up her project too and she was listening to this interesting metal/country music.

i have to give my presentation in a few hours but all i want to do is sleep.

hmmm..metal and country combined, how interesting. how did your presentation go? what did other people do ?

here is something we listened to in new genres on monday:

it is beautiful and eery and disorienting, i still don't quite understand it. i wish the whole of it was online, there are only excerpts. but i thought you might appreciate it ! (if you haven't heard of her, janet cardiff, already)

it almost breaks my heart, but that might be because just about everything does these days.

the sound isn't working!

the presentation went swell!
i had planned out everything i wanted to say, but when i got up there, i kinda forget everything and just started talking. but it all worked out.

hmm let's see. the project was a FREE GIVEAWAY to spark some kind of interaction/conversation.

someone gave out free sharpie tattoos. a girl offered to share her ipod with strangers on the street. one guy gave people labels and pastels to draw on and stick on big corporate stores(like gap, and UO). a another girl gave free music lessons with spoons. someone dressed up like a crosswalk guard and tried to help people cross the street.

HAHA the last one is funny...the spoons one is interesting, but i feel like yours would have sparked the most conversation/been the coolest. everybody (mostly) wants to know more about themselves! hehe. i'm prowd of you. (my shit is rarely the most interesting!)
