FREE MAGIC 8 BALL READINGS!

this is my public art project #1: FREE GIVEAWAY
(it could be an object, service, or trade)
addressing social space & trust
and the chance to engage in
interaction and conversation.

we managed to get a lot of participation from strangers
and heard many interesting narratives..

this man ended up standing next to that building
the entire afternoon watching us with his "family tree"

this one faked a british accent and needs a social security #.
he got really creepy and hung around for a while,
popping his head in every once in a while to say a riddle.

everyone wanted a magic 8 ball reading.
then a protest passed through.a crowd formed.
"am i going to get married?"
"is my van going to get fixed?"
"will i find true love in scotland?"
"am i going to get bud tonight?"
