I went outside to collect leaves and rocks.
(secretly hoping to find a root baby like in pan's labyrinth)
I forgot about going home and kept walking for the next 3 hours.

I forgot about going home and kept walking for the next 3 hours.
I felt silly holding a bunch of leaves so
I wished for a rubber band.
Then 3 minutes later, there was a rubber band on the floor!
I wished for a plastic bag.
Then 5 minutes later, I came upon a box of papers by a trashcan

Then 5 minutes later, I came upon a box of papers by a trashcan
with a perfect transparent plastic envelope sandwiched between the papers!
I ended up at Mason Park and it didn't smell today.
Crawling through the dried up stream and spiderweb infested woods
reminded me of a fairy tale.
reminded me of a fairy tale.
Along the lake banks were assorted bird feathers,
so I spent the next hour collecting them
until I noticed a strange blister had formed on my finger.
Looking at the blister and then my new feather collection,
I was automatically convinced I had contracted a bird disease.

I had to call someone who specialized in infectious diseases.
Remembering that's what my dad studies all day,
I used my celluar device and described my symptoms.
I used my celluar device and described my symptoms.
"As long as you didn't touch any dead birds, you probably don't have the bird flu" he said
"then it's probably just poison ivy right? ok- bye!" I said.
the bag that was found with all the pretty contents

1. did you WALK from your house all the way to mason park?
2. if so, please tell me the next time you do so i can join you on this little adventure.
3. i always wanted to walk till i found a destination even if i didnt have a set destination in mind... but i felt like i would look slightly stupid and dorky doing that alone...but you actually managed to make it seem cool.
4. in conclusion, you should definitely call me up next time and we can walk together and have fairytale adventures and collect all sorts of feathers with all sorts of diseases...or i mean, um, poison ivy contractions.
5. once, my mom and my sister and i went to ralphs to get some groceries and when we got out of the car, we found a random five bucks on the ground. we were so thrilled and we bought lots of candy (or as much as five bucks can buy) with it. and then when we were heading back to our car, i wished aloud, "man, wouldn't it be great if we found TEN dollars this time?" we laughed about it until we reached the car and i saw a glint of green underneath the tire and i was thinking, NO WAY. yup. ten bucks exactly baby. which we then proceeded to spend as we entered ralphs AGAIN, laughing and screaming and wishing aloud that we would find a TWENTY...but we didn't. but it reminded me of your rubberband/plastic bag story--sort of. hahahaha
6. more pictures, more posts. please<3
UHMMMMMM.. so SHADOWBOXING is your new hobby?
"it's mah hahbbie"
QUE AVENTURA. And how lucky stumbling across those items! Don't things like that make you kinda really happy and giddy and amazed..even if it is just a rubber band, it's like it heard your thoughts and crawled out to help.
Your shadowbox reminds me of photograms! MAN how artsycraftsy are you. The amount of creativity bottled up inside of you kinda creeps me out sometimes, but in a good way hehe.
And guuuueesssss what I was doing when you were off playing with diseases..driving! OH YEAH BAYBAY. It has begun por fin.
hehe thanks :)
