When the light turns red, you stop.
But what do you do when the light turns

Why, gloom?
Sun come back soon.

It kind of resembles the moon
(when its big and yellow)
If you squint your eyes,
it can be easily mistaken for a lunar phase
when the geocentric apparent longitudes
of the sun and moon differ by 180 degrees.

we like to go to the sea
just you and me.

There they laid in incubators.
Tiny, helpless, and fragile.
One struggled to yawn (or breathe).
Most had deflated paper thin chests
and looked like they would tear if you touched them.
One opened her day-old eyes
and the black marbles stared curiously at me.
.
how lucky we all are
(to live)
.
welcome to the world;
day #1 of your itty bitty lives.

I don't think the neighbors
appreciate you picking their flowers.
But it's okay, I don't mind.
They make lava-ly marks for books.
"'What are you?" he said. "Ticklish or something?"
The world "ticklish" made me flinch. I let out a nervous laugh."'

Michelangelo would be pleased
ps: squirrels are indeed carnivores..
try throwing a piece of chicken at it!
It'll snatch it, stand on its feet, and nibble it up.
We sit on the stairs,
stare at our reflection,
lick popsicles printed with jokes,
and attempt to make green.

This must be somewhat what Meredith felt like on day 1.
Except to a much lesser extent.

The soft melody of the unknown violinist occurred once more today.
I sat on my balcony and listened,
hoping again their parents were strict,
and would force them to practice for hours.
A very peculiar looking moth fluttered past and landed on
my mom's flowers.
It was black with white criss crossing patterns
and had one of those long things
sticking from its mouth(a proboscis).
It feasted on flower nectar and looked quite content,
then floated away into the sky.

That's what it must feel like to have malaria, she thought"

Deer, banana slugs, giant moths, and gold beetles!
Northern California has much more interesting creatures.
I feel like I'm going on a four year camping trip!
I step out of the car on campus and this is the first thing I see:
woods are everywhere
reminded me of climbing through a clubhouse
orange-y greenness
I gasped when I spotted it.
It was HUGE.
