SciEthics is a virtual world developed by Iowa State University and
West Chester University of Pennsylvania "where science and engineering
students can confront ethical issues in an engaging and safe environment."

Students "use avatars, participants collect data, submit reports,

and face real-world choices with ambiguous moral dimensions"

SciEthics consists of two islands: TransGen and Rainforest Research Island.

TransGen Island "focuses on genetic modification of salmon"

Rainforest Research Island "focuses on deforestation, soil quality,
and contact with indigenous populations."
