what the heck that is so klimt-y! & gorgeous..
i'm taking beginning painting next quarter and i'm petrified. i have never painted in my life (besides our 5th grade soap sculptures [and even that was nail polish] and shitty water colors when i was 5..)
i can't paint either. it's too hard.
but something that seems to be of potential advice that you could try is...
remember that scene in girl with a pearl earring where vermeer tells scarjo to look closely at clouds?
and they conclude that clouds are not just white but made up with many colors: blues, grays, yellows. well maybe you could be like scarjo and try to see all the colors that could make up an image. and then paint it. hopefully, this advice will help you create a masterpiece.
