watch "killing us softly" (4th edition)
here's the trailer.

it's a film focusing on the media's portrayal of women
(teens, children, toddlers, and babies too)
as sexualized objects.

it's fascinating, disgusting, insightful.
hopefully, it'll change/contribute to
the way you perceive advertisements/commercials.

did you know that:
most european/australian/canadian schools
have required classes that educate students
about the media's influence and it's dangers?
or
US schools don't get government funding for teaching safe-sex
(only abstinence)?
or
only about 8% of our brain consciously watches
a commercial ad.
the rest filters into our subconsciousness?
or
that magazines will be required to caption
under pictures whether or not
"1 full-complete single human being"
was used in the advertisement.
photoshoppers often piece together
body parts of 6 different women.
taking a nose, chin, neck, skin/etc
& piecing parts together to make
"the perfect woman"?
or:

?

i've seen 3 before but 4 is much better! it has way more recent ads. things we saw in 17/cosmogurl..

oh we can talk about it all day!
it wudn't annoy me.
well unless we both talked so much that we annoyed each other. but maybe the annoyances would cancel out since we're both contributing to the annoying?
