"Welcome to molecular wonderland"
says Prof. Zilhman's text book
I am happy to be a Geneticist's daughter and have
someone who can explain protein synthesis over the phone to me
as I sit in the [recently vandalized] downstairs lounge
panicking while trying in trying to
make sense of this ridiculous self coloring book
of a text book.

that's my dinner for tonight.
I am not willing to venture out into the bleak cold darkness
for the dining hall.

this picture pleases me...because the bowl is sort of the center nucleus and then everything seems to radiate from it. the instant oatmeal package and the fork and your pencil and the white out and even the illustrations in your textbook.

the weather here has been a pleasant fall briskness. nice and warm in the sunshine, but a little chilly otherwise. it's just the perfect walking-to-class temperature. it's cloudy today though...this is a first.

and i feel so spoiled/lazy because my dining hall is literally the bottom floor of my building. i just have to take the elevator down two stories, take one set of stairs, then another set of stairs, and zair i am. there have been two days here when i haven't even gone outside..lolz

nucleus..haha.

you didn't go outside for 2 days..that's kinda funny.

I lied, after the oatmeal..i did end up getting dinner at 11:30 PM.
Dominique and I put on our heavy winter coats and migrated through the forest to reach the somewhat far dining hall.
