I had my first REAL COLLEGE LECTURE :)
(Anthro1. Intro to Human Evolution)
at 8:00 am this morning and walked out smiling and very happy.
Professor Zihlman stood in front of 400 students
and her voice echoed across the lecture hall.
She's all about hand-eye coordination(hence the coloring book) and visuals
so we were shown a rather humorous Nova special
about flower evolution and fossil records.
Did you know that the straighter the veins of a leaf are, the more modern a flower it is?
The more she talked about the class, the more excited I got.
My psych&religion class starts in 2 hours so
I'll head down to eat mah lunch.
speaking of food..
For breakfast, I had the most amazing lemon poppyseed muffin in the world.
this was my lunch yesterday.
It was scrumdidleyumcious.
We are so lucky the newly constructed Stevenson/Cowell
dining hall is open now.

anthro sounds so interesante! and your food looks good. is it just like a buffet style at SC? 'cause in LA, if you want like...the chicken AND the stir fry, you can't put it all on the same plate, you just take plates of it from each one's own station. makes for a cluttered tray. we don't have sushi here! or at least not in the two dining halls i've tried out.

i miss the breakfast food from my dining halls. i'm never up early enough to get breakfast haha

I've been eating way too much but i'm hoping since i walk around so much that it would be okay...?
Today I had 2 dinners.
My roomies, Jeff(our floormate), and I went to the stevenson coffee house and I had a piece of quiche.
Then ..we went to the dining hall and there was lots of good breadsticks, orange chicken, AND COWELL STONE CREAMERY(haha)..yeah so after all that food i ate an ice cream sundae.
Somehow, even though we had people over in the room, I was able to take a nap. I woke up in that hazy dreamy phase. Everything was soaked in afternoon warm sunlight and it was so pleasing.
