I didn't take a single note today, no one did.
The reconstructed villa of the Papyri at Herculaneum
was exotic, magical, and full of identifiable Greek and Roman styles!
The sun was blistering and the air was uncomfortably warm.
We got to wander the entire villa ourselves and encountered some pretty exciting things:

Kouros!
archaic.conventionalized hair.thunder thighs.
I could go on, but we've already done this on the essay.

religious offerings
cycladic idols!

black figured amphora
high relief sarcophagus
dramatic lighting
hehe
we made our own:
(not even close to Euthymides' talent though)

Yeahhh I don't remember that!
And it was freezing when we went. I had a big sweater and a scarf and no podiamos ver el mar por todas las nubes. But I guess stuffy heat isn't very enjoyable either.

from the corner of my eye, i saw this kid in my class wandering around with a vase in his hand.
i stopped, closed my eyes for a second and thought " oh. my. god. you you you cant TOUCH THE VASES IN THE EXHIBIT."

turns out, he was in the children's playhouse for toddlers that you could draw on plastic vases, make red/black figured stamps, and dress up as gladiators.

but yes, then i'd assume the playroom is new.
