i wear what i want,
when i want.
to stand in the front of the room,
leading students in a conversation about
the historical struggles POC faced
and continue to face today, teaching about the impact
art has in spreading awareness and promoting change,
acknowledging the power of resiliency and community,
and inviting children to imagine they future they want
and be the change

is my dream and i live it every single day:

Saturday, February 04, 2017

this is the post-activity for one of the programs i
lead.

these past 3 months have been a journey
and a whirlwinddddd, but i feel deeply grateful and
proud to have found a job where i do exactly what i
want to be doing: impacting and
empowering young people to see themselves as
agents of change in their own imagined futures.
 onwards.

"the change I want is to hear peace and quiet.

i don't want to hear shootings anymore."

this is my commute view:

ferry building, coit tower, angel island, alcatraz,
and a tiny golden gate bridge in the distance.
