Blogger has been angering me again. So now i've made a flickr.

here's a little fish that happened to swim by

my window in the submarine in a very blue ocean in Maui.
Lots more on flickr!

oh my gahhh. My blog is working on my computer! This is a miracle. I havent been able to use blogger on my computer for about a month. AND i can even upload pictures directly from the site!!

well the past few days have not been fun.
the remains of where my IVs used to be makes me cringe.

Ahh, finally! I can update my blog. Except i can't use blogger on my computer(something about "cookies" that i can't seem to figure out.

Well, i have returned from my tropical adventures. I did love the weather, the rainforests, beeeautiful beaches, volcanoes, submarine, tidepools, town exploring, fancy food, sight-seeing, fresh fruit eating, peacock sighting, and swimming in the clear blue waters. and of course elevation changes...
...which resulted with lots of not-fun stuff in the ER.

"But for now, we are young, so let us lay in the sun and count every beautiful thing we see."

kihei

ha.

mt. haleakala
what a drive up.. (37 miles)

My traveling adventures shall begin soon(this week!)
the european adventures have been re-altered also.
hopefully, this time, there won't be last minute conflicts.
Now i just have to recover from this icky food poisoning situation i got myself into...

Hope everyone is swell as well!
TOODLES.

Hooray!. This is my 100th post!

Plastic dinosaurs are on the loose...

Some dinosaur jokes:
Q: How do you ask a dinosaur to lunch?
A: Tea Rex?

Q: Why did the dinosaur cross the road?
A: The chicken hadn't evolved yet!

Q: What did the dinosaur say when he saw the volcano explode?
A: What a lava-ly day!

Q: What was the wordiest dinosaur that ever existed?
A: Thesaurus

i want some more.

Come back to us spiders

Come uncrush my hands

things around room:

Posie-Lu says hello. Her species was recently created. Perhaps i should get a shirt like hers. You can make your own simpsons character at the simpsonsmovie site, which is really good fun.

Yesterdays encounter with a massage chair:
So i sat down and pushed all the buttons
First my legs were clamped together with claw devices.
Then air pockets trapped my arms

A giant ball inside the chair started rolling around painfully

while other vibrating motions grinded my back.
All the motions sort of enveloped me and i couldnt press the OFF button.
It was actually relaxing...not.

The elderly old man next to me seemed to enjoy it

Our 16 hours at "the happiest place on earth"
We blindfolded ellen and put hiroki's earphones on her
(with volume full blast) because theme park music began playing
as we navigated towards the entrance.
We also didn't want Ellen to hear some child screaming "Disneyland!!"
because that would have ruined the surprise.

During the alice in wonderland ride,

my precious sunglasses fell off my head

and was continuously crushed and smashed by huge catapillers.

It was painful to watch.

10 hours later, we went back to retrieve what was left.

With some duct tape and a twig, it could be fixed...

Summer school is over!
In a way, i like being forced to wake up at 6:30
The final was silly.
for example:

1. should you resist getting into a car with a drunk driver?
a) no. the chances are very slim that you will be in an accident
b) yes. but get in anyways if they refuse to listen

c) yes. alcohol is the #1 drug associated with teen death
d) no. alcohol does not affect the ability to drive

After a picnic at mason park today

I fell asleep on a rock reading

with mexican fiesta songs playing in the background.
When i awoke, ellen was no where to be found,
only tiny scorpian looking creatures all over me.
I think the women who walked by thought i was a hobo.

My new plant.
It is actually a weed uprooted from outside

and implanted into a jar with soil.

be optimistic.

look at those filaments

the cone said" EAT-IT"
so i did.

dream me oh dreamer

down to the floor

open my hands and let them

weave into yours

although i look like a frog,
ultimately i like the summery-ness of it

I just love waking up at 6:30 every morning

to go to summer school.

We played pictionary today

using words to describe an emotion or dealing with an emotion.
my word was "excited"
Amberneil's word(more like a phrase) was
"petting a dog"

Then steven lost his glasses and there was a panic.

after frantically searching, he found them.

They were in his glasses case.

last night my sister and i went to yogurt-land.
it is NOT space-themed...or "astronomical"
I got strawberry swirled
with newyork cheesecake
topped with strawberries
chesecake bites
and fruity pebbles!
it was quite good.

I started interning this week.

After a 4 hour long plasmid experiment
including lots of mixing, transferring, and centrifuging
i finally extracted pure plasmids free of proteins and other supernatants!
I also found these neon orange thick-rimmed lab glasses to wear.
they make me feel "mad-scientisty"
then after the gel electrophoresis:

muffins!

Summer.

thursday: CPK after school for CSA luncheon. My new friend, Emily, and i shared this pizza. Then pool partay at Maggie's casa. More pizza.

friday: leah's house bright n' early. got ice cream. baked cupcakes. target. made a dinosaur card.andrea's birthday party. more pizza. marco polo with ariana(andrea's adorable little sister). then triangle toss. then pulled her around the pool with a noodle.

saturday: ikea.browsed for a new car(for my sister). had trouble with complicated coffee machine. went to little india. got some exotic foreign foods.went to a resturant. then parents company. I did a lab experiment involving lots of chemicals, extracting DNA, destroying protiens, then centrifuging. Then i found this chocolate cake in the fridge and ate some.

wheee. see? it CAN fit 4 people.

maggie's little puppy, bichu(pronounced bee-zhsoo)
he smells a little funny.
and looks like a little lamb.

Wouldn't it be nice?
Our dance final:

I should really be studying for 2 tests tomorrow.

I can't do math at the momment

(the packet flew into the pool.)

But it was rescued by ellen who claims she "saved the day"

Field trip!(kind of) Nature Trail walk-in science
I am pretty pleased with the pictures.

Hopefully googledocs will work

and mr. butler will like these pictures

and give jessica and i 8 points.

aww. jessica is so studious.

look at everyone scribbling notes.
so fuzzy. i want to roll around in it.

cat tails

more fuzzy-ness

ehh. no comment.

"so we beat on, boats against the current,

borne back ceaselessly into the past."

EYE-pod;meowzers.

new little white bookshelf

i spy julius and george.

Happy Birthday Ellen!( June 11th)

Happy Birthday Hiroki!( June 10th)

Leah and i, are suposedly "excellent"

(there's an award to prove that too).

pollination of flowers by bees is excellent too.

Without them, we would have no pretty flowers to look at and sniff.

its aliveeeee

The Spanish names for hummingbirds are very descriptive of their behavior:

Chupaflor - which means flower-sucker

Picaflor - which means flower nibbler

As well as the more romantic Portuguese Beija-flor or Flower-kisser
