I felt quite lazy today. perhaps a bit slugglish as well.
Sitting in the sun reading huck finn in the afternoon and
sitting by the fire watching pride and prejudice at night.

I became a little delusional after a while.
I stared at the word "been" and i couldnt recognize it.
Beeeeeen?
It sounded like bean.
The 2 "e"s looked funny next to each other.
The more i thought about it, the more confused i became.
So i stopped.

Today, my sister and i made the most wonderful smoothie.
I'll share the recipe with you: -blend frozen blueberries, raspberries and strawberries with vanilla yogurt, soy milk, and a banana. Then push the SMOOTHIE blend button. Pour in a glass, stick some cheap little umbrellas and plastic mermaids and VOILA!

Well i hope everyone had a wonderful christmas!

Except i was "driving" in my neighborhood and drove onto a sidewalk.

W i n t e r B r e a k !

Last night, Ellen and I spent 4-5 hours baking frantically. Our gingerbread men have been ressurected at last! While they baked, i walked Jack..again.Then at sundown we lit her menorah and i did all the lighting(all by myself)! We said a prayer(more like i tried to repeat what she said) and it was very lovely.

Later, people came for the party. Baja Fresh! While eating tacos, guacamole, chips, rice, and beans, we discussed our favorite books. :- )

today was very.eventful.

After deciding I needed to go outside, I ran over to ellen's house, greeted her brother, chatted with her mom, then spent the next hour jogging/walking with jack.

I climbed to the top of the highest point in the preserves and just sat there for a quite a long time watching the tiny cars go by,staring at this church, and watching little blue birds play in cactus, and thinking.

Last night, my dad told me all these stories and legends about Genghis Kahn and him(my dad) growing up and being taken away by communists. It was quite intresting.

Genghis Kahn.1162-1167 -a powerful mongolian conquerer. "The Mongol Empire ended up ruling, or at least briefly conquering, large parts of modern day China, Mongolia, Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Iraq, Iran, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Moldova, and Kuwait."

and being 1/8th mongolian-this is all so exciting. Why didnt my grandma tell me she's half mongolian until this summer..

Drew this during the second fine arts assembly.

Happy belated birthday leah!<33

I spent all last night memorizing Annabel Lee by Edgar Allen Poe. Horray- 15 extra points for me.

Last Saturday, we worked on our chinese skit project. Chris, Brendan, Brian, Marvel, Jamie, Roberta and I all went to Anna's lovely house to film it. From 11 am- 9 pm we: watched hurcules, drove to a park, ate a whole lota food her parents bought for us, oh and did the project. Its pretty much like a sniper movie with guns, a wooden ax and shooting scenes. Im really looking forward to seeing the final thing!!

As i walked through the parking lot today , i recogized Mr. Granger's car but i didnt recognize him because his hair got shaved, and was wearing this nerdy but little nice vest. But he waved and i saw it was him. I miss house class, and speaking of house classes.. how the heck did miss pandhi win teacher of the week. this is a fraud! and outrage!!

Albertsons didnt have bisquick for some reason on Sunday, so as i pondered over why, i noticed a pretty box and decided i should try a new brand of pancake mix. When i got home, i felt a strange urge to clean the whole kitchen. So i did. And while i dug through the dusty probably rat filled old cabinets, i found 3 nice dinner ware things. A cooking pot type of thing and 2 plates-Those are going into my future house!

wheeeee.

I promisethat someday i will :
- do lots of traveling
- develop the thousands of pictures on my computer
- take some sort of recreational class

Today during history, we all snuck into a truck, pressed buttons and wore headphones. It made me feel excited and like a newsreporter. Except the lady was vicious and barked at people.
toodles.

Black friday. i love it. we woke up super early and went shopping.
I got some nice things.
Why do i feel so festively christmasy this year. (but thats a good thing)
I had a strange dream where i stood by a coffin and stared at this man laying there, for a long time. Next to him was this head in this glass tube. I have a feeling that part is from watching too many epsiodes of futurama.
Last night.

i feel miserably bored and tired.
one of those gloomy days when you do absolutely nothing..
but i did make this.

hi.

Leah's post from last year's trip to New York inspired me to post pictures of this summer's China trip. Overall, it was pretty fun. We saw Mao Zhe Dong's preserved body, celebrated my mom and grandma's birthday, went to a planetarium, the mountains, a concert, some shows, The forbidden city, lots of shopping places, night markets in the streets, met a little old lady with binded feet(tramatized for a while but was later distracted by cookies),and took the bus just about everywhere.
mountains. we also went on a boat ride on the lake.

The communist cupcake.
I thought alot about communists today for some reason.
also, just in case you were wondering-Boleyn is actually "Bullen" but the first one just looked fancier so it was changed.

As i skimmed through my blogs, i realized everything was all slightly random. I dont really like that, so from now on, each post will have a specific "topic".

I have this fossil of a number of trilobites and i've never really looked at it carefully before until a few days ago. Then all these thoughts came to my mind and i wondered how old they were, how they died, and what exactly were they? So i did some reseach in my A Short History of Nearly Everything and discovered some new things. They existed more than 300 million years ago, there are lots of different types. It got me thinking of how exciting archeology is ... I imagine myself wearing brown shorts, a green shirt, and a backpack with a camera, brushes, a handy pocket book called" A HANDY POCKETBOOK FOR ARCHEOLOGISTS" exploring the dangerous mountains of Peru. Then i'd be world famous for discovering lost cities, artifacts, new species of dinosaurs, and a strange breed of penguins..etc.

This exact piece of rock existed at the time of just about everything.

I must say, i do like bell peppers. At costco a few days ago, my mom and i were grocery shopping. So im sauntering around the freezing vegetable room and then there it is. A transparent bag full of red, yellow, and orange bell peppers.-looking like oversized christmas lights. I also like the green ones.
As i was organizing my bookshelf, i found my Little House on the Prairie book!(only the best book ever..) I felt nostalgic looking through it and the pictures. It brought me back to my obsession with pioners from 3rd- err it never really ended. Anyways ellen and i would dress up as pioneers and pretend we were pioneer girls. There was a log cabin near the playground but the door was sized for a midget..or perhaps 3 year olds too. But the cabin was filled with centipedes, ants and other unpleasant things. So we'd take the logs apart and build our own cabin. After berrypicking, mushing preserves, gathering bark, sand, flowers, lemons, and water, we'd start playing. We would often go to town(the playground) on our "horses" aka scooters and purchase daily nessesscities. Bandits often attacked us and rode our horses away.
"in a valley the wagon stuck fast in deep black mud.Rain poured down and thunder crashed and lightning flared. There was no place to make a camp and build a fire
ho ho ho.
