Exploring is alot of fun.
Today was full of it at the LACMA(Los Angeles County Museum of Art),
La Brea Tar Pits, and China town.

beautiful things that have been found and stuck inside glass cases.
Which is disappointing but I guess that way, people can look and appreciate them:

I like those dreamy hazy days where everything is mellow and the air smells sweet.
I also like it when beverage stores have a can of straws of assorted colors.

Just because you are starving and happen to see a beautiful mushroom growing out of a rotting log..
It doesn’t mean that you should eat it.

If someone trapped all the mysteries that have ever existed into a glass jar, I want to find the jar and open it. But if I ever find it, I think I will just place it on my bookshelf and look at it and think about it and never actually open it.

1) Anger inspires me to make "soup"

(which is just boiling everything and anything I can find in the kitchen) The stirring part is relaxing and the black smoke which usually results resembles the "negative" spirits floating away.

2)Once, I tried on someone's retainer(with her permission of course...). Due to the curiosity to see if it would fit or not. It didn't.

3)After cutting open fruit, I sometimes touch the inside and think about how no human being in history has ever touched this orange(or apple/pear/etc)

4) I don't kill bugs/spiders/ants.
But it's time consuming to trap them in jars and release them back to where the wild things are.

5) I once shoplifted a mango.

it's like swimming in black ink with a nice view.

this is really bizzare.
Especially when half its head is melted away
and tears of wax are flooding over its face.

" go and run yourself a million miles
hoping that the colors run out"

Friday, January 11, 2008

I turned seventeen 2 days ago. Time is never ending-ly zooming by before you get to chance to even realize what happened. I found that my brain is often stuck in the past, and then you realize that now is the present and you'll never ever ever get that yesterday you spent doing who-knows-what, back. After living for 17 years, I still can't imagine how I managed to do it. Well, I technically didn't really have to do anything, but the process of everything that has happened is scary to think about. But I guess..." for now, we are young, so let us lay in the sun, and let us count every beautiful thing we see."

They say the older you get, the wiser you get. So I hope I gained some wisdom these past 17 years in this life of mine, but there's still much more to discover.
... if you think about it, everything is illuminated...
if you want it to be, that is.

From 4:00 pm to 3:00 am, This is what I spent my day doing.
Mucho thanks to Bill who did ALL the filming

Here's a clip--blooper!
There are 3 things wrong:
1)Notice the sudden taxi driver head jerk at the beginning
2)And how I slightly tripped when walking to the stove
3)And my mom calling bill's name

PS: I found my telescope's instructions on the last day of Winter Break.

vermin <3
good deeds. random acts of kindness.
But are they really as genuine and "kind" as they are thought to be?
A teacher told us that random acts of kindness don't exist because people are selfish to begin with, and that they only do nice things so they can feel good about themselves. (i should mention he was extremely religious) For example, a couple of days ago during Christmas shopping, an old lady behind me dropped her wool sweater, so I picked it up for her. And she was very gracious and spent the next 20 minutes chatting with me. So throughout the day and the next few weeks, I did a few more nice things for strangers, but instead of feeling happy, I felt kind of "selfish". Did I really do those things out of kindness, or did I do them because I liked the feeling that resulted.
And now I don't feel happy doing nice things for other people.

I had one crazy long dream.
There was one part where I was eating laffy taffy, and it got stuck on my teeth for a very long time.
When I awoke, my mouth was filled with alot of saliva...
Then I noticed I had drooled a huge puddle of saliva by my mouth.
It was quite hilarious.

ps: i accidentally sewed an anorexic sheep.

I had this huge urge to paper mache and paint rocks this morning.
So voila.

Ever since I got a license, I've been grocery shopping too much.

In a store last night, while looking at a pretty lava lamp, there was a power outage. The entire store was pitch black and I couldn't see anything. After crashing into shelves, I used my cellphone as a flashlight and made my way down the non-moving escalator. I stumbled back to the car, and waited for 20 or so minutes until the crazy traffic in the parking lot cleared up. Zombies could have attacked at any moment, so I locked the doors and sat there, feeling hungry. Luckily, I had just gone grocery shopping so I opened up a bag of chocolate covered pretzels and turned on the radio.

the stamp jar is finally finished! Now it's a walnut holder.

Wow..i should really be doing euro.

Alast! Rain

After actually accomplishing some homework, Ellen and I (and her brother and her mom and her dog) watched Transformers. Giant killer robots are really exciting and it makes you wonder why nothing like that will ever occur in our lives(or will it...)
But guess we'll just have to wait and see what awaits us in the future.

Then at 10:03, I decided to head home-then thinking about the 18 second walk, but in the dark pouring rain. But, I noticed my bad parking job and I remembered I had a car! After 7.5 years of walking the 18 seconds, I could now drive! Except it takes about 4:56 minutes.

Thanks goodness to whoever invented windshield wipers.

even dark gloomy-ness can be fun.

Thanksgiving Break was wunderful.
I came home around noon on Wednesday and found my sister lying in her bed, sleeping like usual. Except I haven't seen her for the past quarter of the year, so it was special.
We baked mini apple pie and all sorts of cookies. Then after a shopping adventure, we went to Old Town Orange and explored all the antique stores and had lunch at a Cuban restaurant.
My license came in the mail!
But now it's Sunday, so this means I should start my homework because I did NADA over break.

My stomach hurts so much.. from laughing because my chinese text book is too entertaining.

Here are some real samples for sentence structures:

"That person looks evil"
"After all, the subway is not a place where you could stay forever"
"He should find a job to feed himself so he can avoid being frozen to death on the street when winter comes"
"How could I not know that drinking cannot eliminate worries? When I cannot control myself, I am addicted to alcohol"
"Are you willing to give up work for your family and stay away from society?"
"He likes to read all novels about love and romance"
"This house is full of bad fumes"
"You have to pay for the meals, because they are not free"
"You can read whatever books you want, except for pornography books"

Boy, are we in for an adventure or what.

"sweeter yet shall blow its breezes on the day that sets us free"
[top-"ash-tray"
bottom-new stack of to-reads!
but one is only a decoration]

On Brainfood, he said that you can calculate the temperature(Fahrenheit) by counting the number of cricket chirps within 14 seconds, then adding that number to 40. I experimented, but I only got 47 chirps. 47 degrees?-seems unreasonable...

Tuesday, November 13, 2007

After 7.5 years, we have upgraded our methods of transportation.
As a celebration, we went to Albertsons and bought fruit snacks, gingerbread mix, lotion, and Honey Bunches of Oats(for her brother)

Scooter phase, Biking phase, Walking phase, and now driving phase.
Because I got my driver's license today!

Everyone seems to be formating their pictures into a "collage" type of organization. So I thought, " why not" So here it is! I actually really like it- it makes my pictures seem a bit "nicer".

[Clockwise starting from the top left]

-Today's Lunch: not fully toasted Garlic bread, Cherry Tomatoes, Asparagus sprinkled with Chedder
-Buttons scattered onto graphpaper
-Found a scarf in my sister's room. I've been wearing it all today.
-Cherrio snack..man

While buying tickets for the Darjeeling Limited, Michelle and I happily consumed our ice cream cones. An elderly man and his wife approached us and asked" Excuse me, but where did you get the ice cream?"
I said" My mom gave it to us"
he looked sad for a moment, then burst out laughing and said" Oh. My mom isn't here!"
Then we laughed, and skipped to the bathroom, then into the big dark movie full of viewers aged 18 or older we went.

A few nights ago, I wanted to sew something Holiday-y.
But I realized without green and red felt/cloth/or thread..there was no point.

Monday, November 05, 2007

This time change is making me so sleepy.

A few days ago, I had this huge urge to buy exotic fruits.
So I did.

The red pear tasted exactly like a green pear.
The prickley pears dont taste nearly as good as the ones picked from the preserves.
The pomegrante exploded over my face and shirt and the stains don't come out.

Perhaps i should stick to "normal" fruits.

[club kick off day-CSA]

I used to love Tootsie Rolls.
One day in third grade, I brought home a super-sized Tootsie Roll,
and worshiped it for days, and refused to eat it.
Then one day, I came home from school
and discovered it was covered in hundreds of excited ants.
It was traumatizing.
now Tootsie Rolls are repulsive.

There are no fleuers.

Tuesday, October 16, 2007

I'm feeling quite festive.
I wish it'd be Thanksgiving/Christmas now!
The other day, I baked sugar cookies!
and they were not tramatizing-ly unappetizing!

things would be much better back on that boat, eating this cookie.

School has started! :0 but kind of :) and mostly >:'(

here's a another jumping picture in a rain forest.

Tuesday, September 04, 2007

I feel like a grandma. The only thing I did this weekend was sew and make a collage.
It is oh so much fun. You can be addicted to sewing right?

Nibbler refused to eat hay yesterday, and he only ate it if I fed him straw by straw. So after I did that for a long time, I went back to sewing.

How strange. As I was typing this, one of my ears went slightly deaf.
And I can't tell if it's still like that or not.

I have a new hobby! :
